    Travel Information

    Planes & Trains

    BWI Marshal Airport - 25 minutes

    Amtrak BWI Station - 25 minutes

    Dulles International Airport - 65 minutes

    Reagan International Airport - 55 minutes


    * If you take the train, DO NOT get off in Baltimore.  Depart at the next stop, BWI Marshal Airport.


    BWI is the most convenient major travel hub servicing Annapolis.  It has a train station, an airport and shuttles between them and plenty of taxi's and ride shares.   

    Places to Stay

    Annapolis Waterfront Hotel - This is our primary recommendation; it was formerly the Marriott.  It is right downtown, there is parking and the cruise departs from it's docks.  


    Boutique Hotels - There are many boutique inns and converted old residences - Flag House Inn, 134 Prince, Gibson's Inn... These have a lot of Maryland charm, but may not provide parking or all modern creature comforts.


    The next best option is to stay in a hotel that is located on West street ... we like The Graduate but there are others... 


    * We did not get a room block anywhere or ourselves a room.  

    Parking

    The most convenient parking garage in downtown Annapolis, other than your hotel, is The Hillman Garage - 150 Gorman St., Annapolis, MD 21401.  

    Event Details

    Sailboat Cruise 4-6pm

    - The Schooner Windward is a 76ft touring sailboat.

    - It will depart from the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel at 4pm.

    - Boarding will begin at 3:45.

    - Bring a coat. Don't be late. 

    - The vessel is crewed.  Pull a line and raise a sail, if you like. 

    - Cocktails and light hors d'oeuvre once under way.

    Dinner @ The Choptank 7pm

    - Adjacent to the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel

    - The Commodore's room

    - Meat, Poultry and Vegetarian Options

    - Arguably the best restaurant in town. 

    - Open bar + view 


    Brunch @ The Beacon 12n

    - Located inside of the Chesapeak Harbour community.

    - You will need to transit to this location.

    - There is plenty of parking.
